Membership ResourcesMDC Driving ScholarshipThe purpose of this fund is to encourage involvement and education in the sport of carriage driving through participation in clinics, driving camps and other related activities. Both adults and youth are invited to submit applications. If you wish to make a contribution to the Scholarship Fund, please send a check to Paula Leavitt, treasurer. Please include a note on the check indicating that it is a dedicated contribution for the scholarship fund.
Purpose: Involvement and education in the sport of carriage driving through participation in clinics, driving camps, and other related activities. One grant will be available per event and only a percentage of costs presented on the application will be awarded with the decision made at the discretion of the members of the scholarship committee. The amount will depend on costs and on funds available. Applicants who receive a grant will be required to make a presentation to the club and to write up their experience for the club newsletter. Applications need to be submitted no later than 6-8 weeks prior to the event. If an emergency arises and a grant recipient cannot attend the event, the money must be returned to MDC.
