We hope this message finds you well and that you are looking forward to an exciting year ahead with the club. As we continue to grow and thrive, we are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to fill key positions on our team: President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Publicity Officer. These roles are vital to the smooth functioning of our club, ensuring effective communication among members and promoting our events and activities to the wider community. President : shall preside over meetings of the Club; supervise club activities and business in accordance with these by-laws; appoint committee chairs and Chair the Executive Committee. Vice President: shall assist the President; conduct club business and meetings in the absence of the President; and plan the annual meeting. Treasurer: shall provide a written Treasurer’s report at each meeting, collect and record dues, manage club monies, and pay bills. Publicity Officer: shall promote and handle public relations both inside and outside the club. We encourage all members who are passionate about the Maine Driving Club and its mission to consider these opportunities. No prior experience is necessary just a willingness to contribute and learn. How to Nominate If you would like to nominate yourself or another member for one of these positions, please send an email to Barbara Chadwick at bchadwick52@gmail.com by December 18, 2025. Be sure to include the nominee’s name, the position they are being nominated. Nominations will be reviewed, and the Executive Committee will present the nominations for voting at the annual meeting. A Glimpse into the Maine Driving Club
The mission of the Maine Driving Club is to encourage and promote the sport of equine driving. We offer training, education, and information to our members in the various phases of pleasure and competitive driving, as well as pleasure horse ownership. We provide a forum for people interested in the sport of driving in the State of Maine to come together for social activities and to share ideas and information.
The MDC welcomes all who have an interest in carriages or driving, regardless of age, skill level or the type of driving you do.
